Nú Ninja Helga Mjöll2021-05-21T18:53:22+01:00Noomi Rapace is a Swedish actress best known for her portrayal of Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish film adaptations of the Millennium book series by Stieg Larsson: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest.
Rapace has a Swedish mother and a Spanish father, which she did not grow up with. He was a gypsy flamenco singer from Badajoz. Noomi grew up in Sweden for the most part but her mother married an Icelandic man and the family lived in Iceland for a few years. It was there where she got her first acting job and fell in love with the artform.
Following the success of the Millennium series, Rapace started an international career and has played in movies like Sherlock Holms, Unlock and Child 44, to name a few, alongside some of the biggest stars of today.
