First video interview
Nú Ninja Helga Mjöll2022-05-07T15:59:45+01:00Tomorrow we will publish our 100th Nordic Art Sunday. For the last 100 weeks we have been sharing about Nordic phenomenon and artists, one at a time. Our posts are a short 1 min read and we include some photos.
The whole idea for Nordic Art Sunday is to shine a light on our subjects, not to bring you the latest news or exhaust all the information there is about them. We give you a little easily digestible “nugget” so if you are interested you go look for more 🙂
This week we have a very special Nordic Art Sunday to share with you; a video interview with Kári Viðarsson, the artistic director of the hostel and cultural centre The Freezer in west Iceland.
We sat down with him and asked him about his experience of opening a culture centre in a rural area. And we found out….spoiler alert… that art is for everyone, every community needs a lively artistic life.
Tomorrow you can watch the whole interview, but here is a sneak peak of Kári telling a story of a local guy calling him crazy for starting a culture centre in an old fish factory in a small rural town.
